How can a university help me grow my business?

The answer may well astonish you..... please read on.....

But a word of caution: the new i10 magazine may challenge all the thoughts you may have had about universities. There are still some who find the words ‘Business’ and ‘Universities’ mutually exclusive – after all, how can the hard-edged cut-and-thrust world of business be associated with the dry, academic crustiness of ivory-towered colleges?

This could not be further from the truth as you will find in the i10 magazine. i10 universities and colleges have so much to offer the business world that it is, frankly, hard to know where to begin. From an editor’s viewpoint this is good news – i10 has so much to report on, so many success stories and new doors to open for you.

Working in collaboration with one or more of our i10 universities can bring real and measurable benefits to your bottom line. The goal of i10 is to foster closer partnerships between our region’s businesses (large and small) and the university/college departments who are ready, willing and keen to work with you.

Read about the services i10 offers in the magazine, and see how i10 can link you directly to academic and practical initiatives which can provide you with tangible business benefits.

The development of i10 is a clear sign that the higher education sector in our region is ready and willing to offer its vast pool of expertise, knowledge, research capability and world-class facilities to businesses throughout the Eastern Region.

i10 hope you enjoy reading each edition and encourage you to tell them what you think of it – what you like (and don’t like) and anything that you would like to see in future editions. Collaboration is the lynchpin of what i10 does for business in the region. i10 hope to work for and with you to help make you and our region prosper.

About i10

i10 magazine is just one of several new initiatives at i10. Jonathan Hogg, marketing manager, leads a professionally appointed six strong business development team. This team is spread around the eastern region, but reports into i10 centrally, and has a target of making 5000 business contacts by October 2006. If i10 magazine can convince you that the region’s universities are ‘Ready for Business’ then make sure that your business is one of these contacts.
